Configured - Group Exhibition at Signal Gallery

Hi Everyone

I will be exhibiting 3 new works at the Signal Gallery as part of the 'Configured' group exhibition at the Signal Gallery this September.

The exhibition runs from 9th of September until 1st of October and will feature myself and 9 other very talented artists: David Le Fleming, Iain Andrews, John Simpson, Ian Hodgson, John Clark, Crawford Adamson and many more

New Works - In the studio

Here's a shot taken in my studio of some new paintings that I'm currently working on for a group show at Signal Gallery (London) taking place this September featuring myself and John Simpson, David LeFleming, Ian Hodgson, Sandro Kopp and John Clark

Process - Cept

In the last year or so I've had emails from people asking me about my painting techniques, the main questions seem to be around the overall appearance of my paintings, some people have described the surface of my work as having a 'unique' quality, and wanted to find out if this is down to the materials I use and how to I approach a new piece of work.

So rather than trying to explain in words, I have attached the below 'Stage by Stage' demonstartion from a painting I did in 2010 called 'Cept' aswell as the finished piece

Hope this helps give some insight into my working methods.

For the exhibition I created 12 new works which aimed to blur the line between human and animal.

Here Goes

I’ll start my first entry with an explanation as to why I’ve decided to create this Blog.

I use other websites such as Deviant Art and Saatchi-Online to show my artwork, but the some of the Blogs I’ve seen by other artists have made me realise that it’s much easier to control the content of personal ‘blogs’ than other WebPages……So here I am

I’m going to try and stick to a schedule of keeping this page updated with a lot of stuff that I don’t get round to posting on the other sites: Sketches, Paintings, Journal entries and other nonsense that I find inspiring/relevant.
I’m not great at babbling on, so they’ll probably be more images that words….but I’ll try and explain what I post, as best I can.
